Students in Drexel’s online RN-to-BSN program practice speaking up
Faculty members in Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions use technology to provide an out of body experience, of sorts.
Students in the online RN-to-BSN program view video scenarios featuring actors playing surgeons, anesthesiologists and other healthcare providers. Based on what they see, students use online simulation to react accordingly. Students videotape their responses and receive feedback from their peers.
Such exercises teach nurses when and how to intervene if other healthcare workers are making procedural errors.
