Creating A Positive Collaborative Relationship between the Subject Matter Expert and the Instructional Design Team Webinar

 
This webinar goes through the process instituted by the School of Education to develop a collaborative relationship between the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and the Instructional Design Team. The presentation covers tools, templates and websites the ID team institute to lay out the course development process regardless of time constraints. Furthermore, the presentation covers best practices for engaging the online learner through design and course construction. 
 
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  • Illustrate effective practices of educating and communicating the course design process
  • Differentiate the actors and their responsibilities in the course design process
  • Create a course development framework that would fit their current environment

Dr. Samantha Mercanti-Anthony is the Assistant Director for Online Learning in the School of Education at Drexel University. In this role, she is tasked with the development and maintenance of the School of Education’s course portfolio of over 200+ online courses a quarter including both fully online and hybrid offerings. Moreover, she was the instructional designer of a four-person team that created a two course, campus-wide, online training for teaching online. Her research focus is in the field of online and hybrid course engagement.
