  • Organ-on-a-Chip Technology: Hype or Reality? (Webinar)

    Tuesday, January 29, 2019

    12 noon - 1 p.m. EST

Organ-on-a-chip (OOC) technology refers to a miniature device that recapitulates an organ’s structure and its function in vitro. This technology has a potential to impact various stages of drug development including efficacy and safety. There is a significant amount of hype regarding this technology that exceeds what is currently technically feasible. While there has been an enormous amount of progress in this field, the technology is still in its infancy and requires characterization, validation and optimization before we can fully understand its potential. During this session, we will provide an overview of the current state and realistic possibilities of organ-on-a-chip technology.
