  • Drexel University's Dornsife School of Public Health Announces New Online Master's in Public Health (MPH) Degree

    Tuesday, August 20, 2019

Drexel University will now offer an online Masters in Public Health (MPH) through its Dornsife School of Public Health. The online program has begun collecting application for the Fall 2020 term.

Drexel’s online MPH program incorporates in-depth knowledge and practical skills in areas such as public health and safety, epidemiology, community and global health, health education and data analysis. This fully online program features a global health concentration, as well as opportunities to add secondary focus areas in Maternal and Child Health and LGBT Health. Students will take courses in areas such as evidence-based approaches to public health, public health and healthcare systems, planning and management to promote global health, policy in public health, leadership, communication, interprofessional practice and systems thinking. Drexel Dornsife’s expert faculty represent the nation’s 19th-ranked Best Graduate School and top-ranked in Philadelphia by the U.S. News & World Report 2020.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in practical work experiences and Integrative Learning Experiences. Additionally, graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified Public Health (CPH) exam. Typically, students can complete their MPH in two to three years; completion time can be significantly shorter for those who have already completed Dornsife’s online Public Health Certificate, as credits may be transferred into the online MPH program.

“Drexel’s online MPH focuses on today’s — and tomorrow’s — pressing global health issues, training students for a dynamic career in public health in the U.S. or overseas, with a flexible and individually tailored program taught by faculty with experience working around the globe,” says Ana V. Diez Roux, MD, PhD, MPH, Dean of the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University.
