  • Drexel University Online Announces New Online Programs in Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience

    Thursday, June 20, 2019

Drexel University will now offer an online MSI in Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience through its College of Computing and Informatics. The online program will admit students in the Fall and Spring terms, beginning in Fall 2019.

The online MSI in Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on improving technology design to better serve users. By looking at how people use technology in their everyday lives, students will learn how to better create technology to meet those needs. Designed for all skill levels, students will explore core concepts of HCI and learn the on-the-job skills UX professionals need to advance in the field. Courses are taught by faculty with experience in the field and ties to local industry. Students can also take courses from across Drexel’s colleges in areas like media arts and design, psychology, and sociology. The program can be completed entirely online.

“HCI and UX skills are foundational to product development in companies, non-profits, government agencies, education — any place technologies are being designed and built,” said Andrea Forte, PhD, director of the online MSI in Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience. “Whether working on wide-scale deployments of software or first prototypes of never-seen-before technologies, designers use human-centered design skills to create technologies that work for people.”

A Post-Bachelor’s Certificate in Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience is also available.

The online MSI in Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience is currently accepting applications for the Fall 2019 term – the deadline to apply is August 26, 2019.

Drexel University specializes in innovative, internet-based education programs for working professionals, organizations and corporations, enrolling more than 7,500 unique online students from all 50 states and more than 25 countries.
