    Tuesday, January 10, 2017

Drexel University’s online programs once again appear on the U.S. News & World Report’s ‘Best Online Programs’ ranking.

In the recently released 2017 rankings, Drexel University’s online graduate computer information technology programs rank number 11 in the nation. Several of the programs offered online through the University’s College of Computing and Informatics were instrumental during the early days of distance learning. In 1996, Drexel became the first university to launch a fully online degree program—an MS in information systems—followed closely by a fully online MS in library and information science degree.

Several other programs earned distinction; Drexel University ranks among the top 100 in the nation for online graduate programs in engineering (26), nursing (35), education (84) and its MBA (61).

Drexel launched several new online programs in 2016, including master’s degrees in molecular medicine and finance; as well as post-bachelor certificates in neuroscience, learning and online instruction and computer science.

Once again, the University earned distinction as a military-friendly school, with several programs ranked among the 'Best Online Programs for Veterans.'

Drexel University specializes in innovative, Internet-based education programs for working professionals, organizations and corporations, enrolling more than 7,000 unique online students from all 50 states and more than 30 countries. Having offered online degrees since 1996, Drexel is known as a leader in technology-enhanced education and enjoys regional accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
