  • Service to Veterans Certificate

Our veterans have unique health needs. Nearly 2/3 of United States veterans are not receiving medical care at the Veterans Administration Health System.

The accredited online Service to Veterans Certificate facilitates an advanced understanding of veterans’ needs resulting from their military careers/experiences once they return to civilian life. Graduates of the program will be able to identify, refer and advocate for the veteran with necessary specialized skills and knowledge to care for the health care needs of this unique population.

    Program Features

    • Designed for health professionals who want to help veterans through the provision of safe and effective health care
    • One of the first professional certificates developed to serve this unique patient population
    • Provides prospective employers with evidence of background knowledge, assessment skills and competencies essential when caring for the veteran population
    • Students study in cohorts to use interdisciplinary knowledge, skills and abilities to improve the services offered to veterans
