    Drexel's accredited online Homeland Security Certificate introduces students to the various aspects of Homeland Security. The program examines the evolution of Homeland Security as a concept, a legal framework and the redirection of national policies to align with various threats. Graduates will understand the complexities of today's security environment and be prepared to use that knowledge in a variety of security related fields.

    Students may use this certificate as an individual pursuit or as a gateway to the full MS in National Security Management.

    This program is organized into four 10-week quarters per year (as opposed to the traditional two semester system) which means you can take more courses in a shorter time period. One semester credit is equivalent to 1.5 quarter credits.

    Admissions Criteria

    • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution 
    • A GPA of 3.0 or higher in a completed degree program, bachelors or above

    The tuition rate for the academic year 2016-2017 is $1192 per credit.

    • This rate applies only to new online students.
      • Students being readmitted to Drexel University must contact within the first two weeks of the term to request tuition savings for which they qualify.
